LeBron James tweeted a single word. ACCOUNTABILITY.

Upon the news of former police office Derek Chauvin being convicted of two charges of murder and one of manslaughter in the death of George Floyd, many in the sports world offered their support for the verdict.

The Cavaliers released the following statement:

“The horrific images of George Floyd’s murder still ring true and clear in our minds and today’s verdict represents and important measure of justice for he and his family. We will continue our deep desire and commitment to see and support equality, compassion, respect, unity, healing and peace for all. Especially in moments it might be most difficult to achieve.”
